Terms of Service
Last updated 23 October 2026.
1. Who we are
Ruxi.AI and Ruxi Vision are operated by Skin Clinicians Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17492865) with its registered office at 101 Harley Street, London W1G 6AH (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [email protected].
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the ruxi.ai website, your Ruxi.AI account, the Ruxi Vision API (“the API”) and the embedded skin scanner we host for customers (“the Embed”), together “the Service”. Where you have a signed order form or master agreement with us, that document takes precedence over these terms if they conflict.
3. Accounts and API keys
- You must give accurate details when you create an account and keep them up to date.
- API keys are confidential. You are responsible for every request made with your keys, including requests made through an Embed linked to one of your keys.
- Do not place an API key in client-side code, public repositories or anywhere a third party can read it. If a key is exposed, revoke it in the dashboard at once.
- We may suspend keys or accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised or misused.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- analyse images of a person without a lawful basis and, where required, their consent;
- analyse images of children, or images that are sexual, violent or otherwise unlawful;
- present Ruxi Vision output as a medical diagnosis, or as a substitute for assessment by a qualified clinician;
- make or imply claims about the Service that we have not made ourselves (for example that it is a medical device, or that it detects disease);
- advertise prescription-only medicines to the public through wording you configure in an Embed;
- reverse-engineer the models, scrape the Service, or resell access without our written agreement;
- exceed the rate limits or scan allowances of your plan by technical means.
5. Nature of the output
Ruxi Vision assesses visible skin quality from a photograph for cosmetic and educational purposes. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and its output should not be relied on for clinical decisions. Scores are produced by a vision model trained on a clinician-annotated dataset; accompanying text is generated by a language model from those scores and may contain errors. You are responsible for how output is presented to your own users, including keeping the disclaimer we supply visible.
6. Embeds
- You configure the branding, wording and features of an Embed in your dashboard. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the wording you enter, including compliance with the UK CAP Code and, for clinics, GMC and CQC guidance.
- You must list every website on which you place the Embed in its allowed origins. Requests from other origins are refused.
- Where the Embed offers products or bookings, the contract for those products or services is between you and your customer, not with us, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- You are the controller of personal data your visitors submit through an Embed; we process it on your behalf as described in our privacy policy.
7. Fees and payment
Paid access is priced per project and set out in a written quote or order form. Unless stated otherwise, fees are in pounds sterling, exclusive of VAT, and payable annually in advance. Trial keys are free, limited in volume and analysis types, and may be withdrawn at any time. Scan allowances do not roll over between years.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change the models, the API response format or the Service generally; where a change is likely to break existing integrations we will give reasonable notice through the dashboard or by email. The model version that produced a result is stated on every API response.
9. Intellectual property
We own the Service, the Ruxi Vision models and all related materials. You keep ownership of the images you submit and of the output returned to you, and grant us the licence described in the privacy policy to process them in order to provide the Service. You may use the Ruxi.AI name and “Powered by Ruxi Vision” only as displayed by the Embed or as we agree in writing.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in that period.
11. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if fees are unpaid, or if we withdraw the Service, giving notice where practicable. On termination your API keys and Embeds stop working; usage records are kept as set out in the privacy policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
